IRON MAIDEN Singer To Present Radio Show From DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL

April 25, 2003

IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson will be presenting his "6 Music" radio show live from the Download Festival in Donington just moments after his highly anticipated headline performance on the main stage, according to Kerrrang!

IRON MAIDEN headline the first day of the festival as part of their summer world tour. Other acts performing at the festival include LIMP BIZKIT, MARILYN MANSON, DEFTONES, MINISTRY, ZWAN and MURDERDOLLS.

While Bruce takes to the stage, Val Potter, "6 Music" contributor and rock reporter, will be hanging out with the bands and bringing "6 Music" listeners exclusive interviews from some of the day's top acts. As IRON MAIDEN finish their headline set that night, Bruce Dickinson will be rushing straight off stage to present the last half hour of "The Bruce Dickinson Rock Show" live.

Music from the festival can also be heard the following week on "The Bruce Dickinson Rock Show" on June 7.

"6 Music" is a new BBC digital radio station that champions the very best in rock and popular music, and can be accessed via DAB digital radio, digital satellite television, Freeview, digital cable television and the internet www.bbc.co.uk/6music.
